Stabilisation and solidification (S/S) are techniques used to immobilise contaminants in soil, reducing their mobility and potential for environmental harm. Stabilisation involves mixing the soil with binding agents to reduce contaminant solubility. In contrast, solidification involves adding materials to increase the soil’s structural integrity. We select the appropriate S/S method based on the contaminant type and site conditions. Our expertise includes designing and implementing bench trials at our in-house facility to determine the most efficient design for each project.
