Introducing our President of North America and the UK to Redhill Soil Treatment facility

BIOGENIE’s President of North America and the UK, Jean-Gabriel took in the sights of our flagship Soil Treatment Facility, Redhill whilst visiting the UK earlier this month. With the autumn sun shining, Jean-Gabriel was welcomed by Manging Director Julia, Simon, Soil Treatment Facilities Director, and Alex, STF Operations Manager.

After conversing with employees to understand their roles and how long they have been with BIOGENIE Remediation UK Limited, Jean-Gabriel was interested to find out more about permitting, plant, and driver inductions.

Once a site introduction had been completed, a site walk around was given to show some of Redhill’s operations and processes. Our site team also demonstrated how the proximity devices work on the site and how it helps maintain the 5m Rule, which is something not used in France.

Dundee Foodbank

After undertaking several phases of work in Dundee over the last three years, BIOGENIE UK believed it was time not only to make a positive impact on the environment but also the community through charitable contributions.

The cost-of-living crisis, including the lack of funding for food, toiletries and sanitary items, that is affecting so many people nationwide is a concern. The Dundee and Angus Food Bank (part of the Trussell Trust) was therefore a charity that naturally resonated with all of the team.

The Dundee and Angus Food Bank facility not only provides their service users with emergency food packages, but they also provide a café where users are welcomed to stay warm, dry and speak to professionals for advice on several aspects.

BIOGENIE UK have been donating food and toiletries weekly since the beginning of August and shall continue until demobilisation. Senior Engineer Catherine has volunteered at the food bank on a number of occasions.

Trussell Trust’s South Liverpool Foodbank.

National Grid and contract partner BIOGENIE Remediation UK Limited have donated £1,000 worth of food to support the work of the Trussell Trust’s South Liverpool Foodbank.
Welcoming the donation, Abi Clegg from the foodbank said: “The donation will give our stocks a much needed boost ahead of Christmas. We really appreciate it when companies who have been working in the area think of supporting our communities in this way. It will make a big difference to the families we work with.”
The donation follows the completion of a project to improve the condition of the land at the site of the former gasworks off Spofforth Road. Sarah Rea, Land Regeneration Manager at National Grid said: “We’re delighted to be able to support the foodbank along with our contract partner. We work in local communities across the country and being a good neighbour is very important to our project teams.”

BIOGENIE UK Celebrating 10 YEARS OF RoSPA GOLD AWARDS

BIOGENIE Remediation UK Limited celebrated 10 years of ROSPA GOLD awards! A GOLD award in itself is no mean feat. But to consistently achieve this shows the commitment that the organization has for the safety of its employees. As a result of this we were awarded the ROSPA presidents award.

This was celebrated this year in the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane in London. The event was a night to remember, with many larger organisations (and smaller) in attendance. The Leadership team recognized the hard work by inviting members of the bid team to the event.

It was an evening for the team to let their hair down and enjoy the spectacle that was hosted by Zoe Lyons, and with many awards given out on the night. This has inspired the teams to be on that stage in the coming years, and to further demonstrate that BIOGENIE UK is a leading organisation in ground remediation, but also takes the safety of all our people not only seriously but firstly.
