Trevor the H&S Safety Manager of Celtic & Biogenie decided to set himself the challenge to undertake a Static line Parachute jump on the 6th October 2019. The event takes place over 2 days with an intensive training day on the 5th October followed by my Big Jump on the following day.
Here is Trevor’s Story:
The Background: I was lucky enough to be given an experience day for my 40th Birthday a couple of years ago (water sports jet pack) but I have never got around to booking a day to use it, with event location and time against me. Therefore, with the voucher running out I decided to use the voucher to undertake something a bit different and to set myself a challenge and to raise some money for a very worthy charity at the same time!
Who am I raising Money for? My wife and I are very, very lucky to have an amazing and healthy little girl in our lives. But I know that some families aren’t as lucky as us and their children need all the help and support to face many life-changing health issues and treatments required to save their lives. This is why I have decided to raise money for the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales, in University Hospital Cardiff (see more info below). I hope you will be able to give generously to this worthy cause, as your donation will support the great work the hospital do and of cause go some way to making the nervous leg shaking I will definitely have during those minutes before I throw myself out of a plane on October 6th!!!
Who is the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity? Their mission is to support the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales and the thousands of children and families within it. Working hand in hand with people like you to do this, they fund:- state of the art equipment that saves lives, improves outcomes and makes treatment more bearable- facilities that allow parents and carers to access care as quickly as possible for their children and enable families to enjoy as much time as they can together- support services that make the hospital experience less stressful and more child-focused.

Mission Accomplished by Trevor as he completed my solo Static line Parachute Jump!!!
Here is Trevor’s outlook on it all:
It was touch and go with the weather, especially the wind today. But after waiting for 8hrs there was a window in the weather and I was allowed to head up in the plane to make the jump. What a rush and amazing experience!!! Which was made all the better as I’ve managed so far to raise over £850 (plus gift aid) for Noah’s Ark Children’s hospital.
Thank you so much to all those who have donated so far, and of course there is still time to dig deep and donate!!!
